Ingredients:
- 1 cup Basmati rice
- 2 cups of water
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- ¼ cup green peas
- ½ cup of finely chopped green beans
- 1 carrot cut into cubes
- 1 potato cut into cubes
- 1 teaspoon pulav masala (can be adjusted according to taste).
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons of oil/ghee.
Method:
- Wash the rice and soak in water for 10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- heat the ghee/oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Then add all the vegetables, mix well.
- Add salt and pulav masala to it.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the rice and water to the pan.
- Cook on low heat for about 10 minutes.
