Vegetable pulav

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup green peas
  • ½ cup of finely chopped green beans
  • 1 carrot cut into cubes
  • 1 potato cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon pulav masala (can be adjusted according to taste).
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of oil/ghee.



Method:

  • Wash the rice and soak in water for 10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  • heat the ghee/oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add onion and sauté until golden brown.
  • Then add all the vegetables, mix well.
  • Add salt and pulav masala to it.
  • Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the rice and water to the pan.
  • Cook on low heat for about 10 minutes.
